Wrappings
Life is wrapping paper,
Enclosing the earth.
It's a valuable gift,
With unlimited worth.
Wrapping paper is color,
So too is life.
The two are comparable,
Like a husband and wife.
The store's wrapping paper,
Is crisp, fresh and bright.
Like a new life on the earth,
It brings with it light.
The gift is opened,
It brings delight.
So too does a life,
Before death wields its might.
The wrapping paper is finished,
Its remains are thrown.
Like a life that has expired,
Which is a grave of bones.
